Panchayat

Panchayat is a body of elected representatives chosen to manage the administrative affairs of Panchayat Raj institutions. For a Grama Panchayat, it is the primary committee that implements the decisions of the Grama Sabha and carries out day-to-day administration. The main components of a Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat who presides over meetings and oversees its overall functioning.Vice President: Assumes duties and responsibilities in the absence of the President.Ward Members: Representatives elected from each ward within the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Committees formed for areas such as Finance, Development, Welfare, and Health & Education to streamline and facilitate the Panchayat's decision-making process.
